With my book, ‘River Ganseys’ and Foreword to the new edition of the classic ‘Old Hand-Knitters of the Dales’ due out later this year, I am happy to announce I am now available for workshops.
I’m happy to offer them on any aspect of ganseys/traditional knitting that interests your group. I also offer workshops (hands-on sessions) on intermediate and advanced traditional knitting construction techniques; aspects of knitting history, Yorkshire knitting history, and hand-spinning or natural dyeing.
Later this year, I hope to offer hands-on natural dyeing days at the Yorkshire Museum of Farming. Dates to be decided.
I have one of the largest private collections of historical spindle whorls (I’m told!), so a spindling workshop with the old whorls and a brief talk about them, is also available. I am also up for talks about general Yorkshire folklore and domestic history.
Just so you know, I’m a qualified and experienced teacher/workshop leader with experience teaching and running workshops in the UK and US.
